Eric, my son,
Life's instructions from me to you
If I had just a moment to tell you
all I know or want to know, and then to wish you well, I would tell you...
Don't miss a day of your life.
Find ways to make each day matter -- to you, to another, to the world.
Develop, listen to, nurture, and
trust your instincts. You will compete in life, but life is not a
competition -- it is a gift to be shared.
You are enough as an individual
person. You'll meet many special people in life. There may be
one special person, there may not be.
Work hard with your hands and your
mind, but always take the time to enjoy yourself and those you love.
There are happy endings in life, but
not always, and some are easier to understand than others. We are all part
of something bigger than life, and I am grateful that God loaned you to me
and to have shared so much of life with you.
Last but not least, I want you to
know I'll always be there for you, both in the present and in the spirit in the
here-after when He takes me away.
My son, I have always felt
your love for me
...and my love for you is more than love itself.
Forever, Dad

Dare to Dream
My son,
Dare to dream, for dreamers see
tomorrow.
Dare to make a wish, for wishing makes way for hope, and hope is what keeps us
all alive.
Dare to reach out for the things no
one else can see. Be unafraid to see what others cannot.
Believe in your heart and in your own goodness, for in doing so others will
believe in them, too.
Believe in magic, because life is
full of it.
But most of all, believe in yourself...
because within you lie all of the magic, the hope, the love, and the dreams of
tomorrow.
Trust in God and in those who love
you,
for they will always try to do their best for you.
Love more than love itself,
Dad
