A crown of thorns, not fit for a king,
A crown of thorns that would cut and sting,
A crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head.
"Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" the mockers said.

A crown of thorns so long and cruel,
Instead of a crown made of gold and jewels,
A crown of thorns worn by Jesus, God's Son,
He bore the horrible pain for everyone.

A crown of thorns worn to the cross,
A crown of thorns worn for those, who were lost,
A crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head,
"He truly is God's Son!" some were heard to have said.

A crown of thorns is a reminder to all,
That we can be saved if on His name we call,
A crown of thorns He wore in my place,
I'll bow before Him when we meet face to face.

A young man was at the end of his rope.
Seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer.
"Lord, I can't go on," he said.  "I have too heavy a cross  to bear."

The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its weight, just place
your cross inside this room.  Then, open that other door and pick out  any cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief.

"Thank you, Lord," he sighed, and he did as he was told.

Upon entering the other door, he saw many crosses, some so
large the tops were not visible.  Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall.

"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered.

And the Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problem seem overwhelming, it helps to look around and see what other people are coping with.  You may consider yourself far more fortunate than you imagined.

I asked Jesus,
"How much do You love me?"
He answered, "This much!"
Then, He stretched out His arms
and died for me.

I stood in awe.

My Son...Mary's Son.
My Son...God's Son.
My son...An especially gifted one.
My son...A supernatural one.

My son...Born to Mary in the likeness of man.
My son...Given by God to fulfill a plan.
My son...Lived on earth to only thirty-three.
My son...Will live in Heaven eternally!

My son...Loved deeply by his mother.
My son...Loved all like no other.
My son...Had so few years here on earth.
My son...Born to a virgin, a miracle birth!

My son...Was nailed to a tree.
My son...Able to set men free.
My son...Died so young with so much to give.
My son...Gave by dying, so all could live!

Then after wiping her tears,
Mary looked up to Heaven
and asked God "WHY?"
God answered her with this reply.
"Jesus was only lent to you,
but He is really...
MY SON!"
